About the Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Embedded.az website and the Embedded.az mobile app. By using the website or the app you confirm that you have read and accepted them. The processing of personal data is governed separately by the Privacy Policy.

1. About the service

Embedded.az is a platform for electronics, embedded systems and programming: an online shop, news, training courses, electronics repair and engineering services, a kabinet for keeping repair and service job records, a rewards programme and a posts section. The mobile app gives access to the same services with the same account from a mobile device.

2. Rules of use

Users must comply with the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan and use the platform only for lawful purposes. Information you provide must be accurate and current. Website and app content (texts, images, course materials, code) may not be copied, distributed or used commercially without permission. Interfering with the app, automated requests and bypassing security mechanisms are prohibited.

3. Registration and account security

Some services require registration, with e-mail and password or with a Google account. The minimum age to use the service is 16. Each person may hold only one account; fake or multiple accounts are closed. You are responsible for the security of your account and password. You are notified of sign-ins from a new device; end any session you do not recognise immediately in the app's "Active sessions" section and let us know.

4. Deleting the account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Settings → Delete account) or on the web. Deletion cannot be undone; its effects are described in the Privacy Policy. Kabinet financial entries confirmed by both parties remain as records, but your personal data is removed from them.

5. User content

You are responsible for the content you post (reviews, photos, comments, kabinet files, voice and video messages). Prohibited: illegal material, defamation, false information, spam, sharing another person's personal data without permission, copyright infringement. The platform receives a non-exclusive licence to display and store your content within the service; copyright stays with you. Content that breaks the rules may be removed and the account restricted. Comments on posts may be moderated; use the report function to flag content that breaks the rules.

6. Reviews

Reviews must be based on genuine experience; paid, fake or commissioned reviews are prohibited. Writing a review requires an account with a verified e-mail. Up to 5 photos may be attached to a review; photos are moderated.

7. Products and orders

Products are offered while in stock; out-of-stock products are marked on the product card. Product photos and descriptions are for information and may differ slightly. In case of a price or stock error the order may be cancelled. After you place an order it is confirmed by e-mail or notification and its status (pending, confirmed, preparing, shipped, delivered) can be followed in the app. You can cancel an order yourself in the app until it is shipped. You can confirm receipt of a delivered order in the app and download the invoice.

8. Price quotes

Individual price quotes are sent as a link and are valid until the date shown. Only the account the quote is addressed to can turn it into an order; expired or cancelled quotes cannot be ordered. Products in a quote are subject to availability.

9. Prices, payment and delivery

Prices are shown in Azerbaijani manat (₼) and may change. There is no online payment; payment is made when you receive the order — to the courier or at the warehouse. Card details are never stored on the platform. Two delivery options are available: pick-up from the warehouse (free) or delivery by taxi / courier, in which case the delivery fee depends on the distance, is paid directly to the driver and is not included in the order total.

10. Exchanges and returns

Exchanges and returns are handled in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Protection of Consumer Rights".
Goods of proper quality: within 14 days, not counting the day of purchase, you may exchange the product for another of the same value, provided it is unused and its appearance, consumer properties, seals and labels are preserved; if no suitable product is available, the price is refunded. The order invoice or the order record in the app counts as proof of purchase. Goods on the list of non-exchangeable goods approved by the Cabinet of Ministers are excluded.
Defective goods: within the warranty period (or, if none is stated, within the period provided by law) you may demand free repair, replacement with the same product, a proportionate price reduction, or cancellation of the order with a refund of the amount paid.
In both cases, contact us first through the channels in the app or on the website; the way the product is returned (drop-off at the warehouse or courier) is agreed with you.

11. Repair and engineering services

Devices must be agreed with us before being sent; unagreed shipments are not accepted. Diagnostics is a paid service (10–50 ₼ depending on the board's complexity); if you proceed with the repair, this amount is deducted from the repair price. Successful repair is not guaranteed, due to parts availability and the severity of the damage. Work performed and replaced parts carry a 1-month warranty; the warranty covers only work done by us. Engineering and project work is done under a separate agreement.

12. Kabinet — job records

The kabinet is a shared record of repair and service jobs between a customer and a technician / business. Money entries added to a job await the other party's confirmation; once both parties have confirmed, the entry is a record both sides agreed to and is not changed — a correction is made only with a new correction entry. Balances and amounts in the kabinet reflect the settlement between the parties; Embedded.az does not intermediate these payments. Files, photos, videos and voice messages attached in the kabinet are visible only to the parties of that job.

13. Training courses

Access to courses is granted by Embedded.az per course or per lesson. Course materials are for personal learning only; sharing, republishing or selling downloaded files and video/text materials is prohibited. Quiz results are kept in your account. The conditions and payment for course access are agreed separately.

14. Rewards programme and referral code

Bonus points are valid only within the platform; they cannot be converted to cash or transferred. Using the programme requires accepting its rules in the app; when the rules change, acceptance may be required again. The referral code is meant for genuine new users only; in case of abuse (fake accounts, self-referral) the points are cancelled.

15. Notifications

E-mail and push notifications are sent for orders, kabinet jobs, courses and account events. You can turn off push notifications in the app settings or the device settings and opt out of marketing e-mails at any time. Security notifications (such as a sign-in from a new device) are sent to protect the account.

16. Mobile app

The app is distributed through Google Play, whose own terms also apply. When an old version of the app is no longer compatible with the server, an update may be required. The app uses the device's location, microphone and notification permissions only when the corresponding feature is used and with your consent. Maps are shown using MapTiler and OpenStreetMap data. Website links (product, news, order, lesson) may open directly in the app on a device where it is installed.

17. Privacy

User data is protected in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Data is not sold; it is shared only with the technical partners needed to run the service and with the courier for delivery.

18. Availability and changes

The service may be updated and technical interruptions may occur; during maintenance the app shows a notice. Content, prices and features may be changed or removed. Changes to these terms take effect when published; significant changes are announced in the app or by e-mail.

19. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Embedded.az is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or temporary unavailability of the service. Liability for products and services is determined by the consumer-protection legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

20. Governing law and disputes

Unauthorised use or breach of these terms may have legal consequences. Disputes are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan; the competent courts are the courts of Baku. Questions: [email protected].
