Researchers at the National University of Singapore’s College of Design and Engineering (CDE) have developed a fiber that acts as pixels and senses touch at the same time. They integrated 54 of these fibers into a sleeve, creating the world’s first touchscreen built into a garment.
In this prototype, the touchscreen is not added as separate hardware but formed directly within the fabric of the sleeve using the new fiber pixels.
